NO
MORE APATHY…
NO MORE PREJUDICE…
NO MORE BULLYING…
NO
MORE HATE CRIMES
What
a perfect world we would live in if none of the above existed! The reality is everything I mentioned
is sadly present.
The
Central Valley Holocaust Educators Network was formed to do what they do
best—educate and teach—to do their part to recognize the conditions that
create these monsters. Through CVHEN, programs and workshops are held by
volunteers to teach and educate local teachers and administrators so they
may teach students, elementary through high school to make wise moral
decisions throughout their life.
CVHEN
is a non-profit organization and staffed completely by volunteers. It was founded by Liz Igra, a Holocaust survivor and retired teacher. In
addition to the workshops and programs they offer follow-up training to
ensure their teachings about the Holocaust will help students understand
the roots of the Holocaust and the dangers of apathy and prejudice.
I am
encouraging the JMA to go to www.chven and donate. There is no donation too small. It is
more important today in this economy that we do what we can to keep CVHEN
alive.
We
will ride as we have ridden for the past 9 years for a cause that is a
JMA passion. The Executive Board is looking forward to seeing everyone in
Orange County.
We
would like to wish everyone Chag
Pesach Sameach. Ride Safe
